The White House is never happy when a former president makes more news than the current president.
And that’s sure the case now: the Obama White House not happy with Jimmy Carter’s stealing all the headlines because of his statement about race.
Asked about crazy Joe Wilson, Carter said yeah, race was involved in his insult to Obama. Not only that, Carter went on: having grown up in the South, he knows that most of the protests against Obama today come from people who just can’t accept a black man as president of the United States.
Obama disagrees, insists White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs. He believes the fact that some people disagree with him has nothing to do with the color of his skin. Which is the same thing he said during the campaign.
So what’s the truth? Probably somewhere in between.
Yes, most people who disagree with Obama simply disagree on the issues.
But, believe me, I can tell you from the ugly, racist emails I receive, there are some people who hate him only because he’s black – and they don’t hesitate to use the “N” word.
One thing for sure. Joe Wilson would never had shouted out the same remark – to a white president.
That’s’ my parting shot for today.

I agree with Pres. Carter. He is the only Democrat that stood up and called the teabaggers, repugs for what they are. Obama exudes confidence and vigor in his speeches, and has changed the landscape in Washington and the red necks from the south cannot accept it.
Yes, there is a racial motive and will be here for some time, but the east, west and north are handling it much better than the south.
