I am a special ed teacher, and my 3rd grade students know more about respect and good manners than Joe Wilson does. His blurting out during the President’s speech is a national disgrace, and sets a bad example for all Americans, regardless of political affiliation. At the very least he should be reprimanded and made to apologize in Congress while being nationally televised.
Mr. Wilson showed total disrespect for not only the Office of the President; he showed total disrespect for the People’s House. Does he not realize the People are his employers and the People should take action by voting Mr Wilson out of office. Mr Wilson also showed the true face of the Repubican Party – they are spoiled, racist toddlers having temper tantrum. Grow Up!!
As Americans it’s our duty to stand by and support the leader of our country, our President. I agree with Bill Press, it was un-patriotic, un-american, of Joe Wilson to shout out like that. I would like to see him lose his job….I’ll take it, and I’ll do a darn good job too, because I’m proud to be an Ameriacn, and I would not do anything to disgrace my country.

Why is everyone so upset. If you havent figured it out the conservatives dont give a damn about the country, they want to have one party rule. In other words a dictatorship with them as dictators. If they ever get into power again they will make the Germany of the 1940′s look like a safe haven. Didn’t you learn from 8 years of W and 4 years of papa bush and 8 years of Ronny Raygun, and 6 years of Nixon. For pete sake people wake up. We are not playing with a nice bunch of friendly opponents here. This is a war. Listen to right wing radio just a little and you will see that they mean to take this country one way or the other and make slaves of anyone that does not agree with their horrid philosophy one way or another. You had better keep your voter registration current and every time the polls are open go vote these right wing nut cases out of office. If you dont you have only your self to blame/////// remember the old saw they used to say about the germans that they took the gypsies and I did nothing and then they took the mentally feeble and I did nothing then they took the poor and I did nothing then they took the jews and I did nothing today they took me why didnt some one do something to help me. VOTE EVERY TIME THERE IS ANY KIND OF AN ELECTION!!!!

The only reason America exist is because our forefathers spoke up against the leadership of their day. Do you think is was popular back then? It’s not about popularity. It’s about truth. For those who voted to reprimand Joe Wilson, they also cast a vote of conviction about the spineless nature of themselves, who would rather follow blindly the instructions of one, (just like what America fought for independence from), rather than to serve the people who elected them.
Floyd Spence use to represent this district as a very conservative democrat, but he never humilated our State and Nation.
Unfortunately, the right -wing conservative Republicans of today are a crass barely literate group of low-life wealthy businessmen with no sense of honor, duty or personal morals. They have money and call themselves Christians only to get the votes of the Christian right while they cheat on their wives, father illegitimate children, use tax dollars to visit their mistresses, buy-off girlfriends with hundreds of thousands of dollars, or solicit gay sex in bathrooms.
Look around our state, Sanders is a liar, philander, thief and still governor!. Does he have to be caught killing his wife before he will step down? Strom was pro-segregation while fathering a child with an African-American woman and hid it for years with hush money. DeMint is an air-brain who is more interested in discrediting the President than doing anything constructive while he is in the Senate.
I don’t care what your party is, but these republican buffoons that represent SC are not worthy of the job. This is a state loaded with hard-working family men and women who shoudl replace these idiots.

I notice nobody has reprimanded the President for his disrespect of Kanye West. Granted, Kanye’s behavior is certainly not worthy of respect, but the President’s calling him a jackass is really not better than Joe Wilson calling the President a liar. They are both expressing their opinion of another person in a very derogatory fashion.

It really should not come as a surprise. Since Nixon’s southern strategy to attract Wallace voters after 1968, the republican party has kissed up to southern white racists. Regardless of Joe Wilson’s outburst and the details of the various health plans being circulated, can anyone provide us with three examples of where in the past the US government has created huge programs which have enabled cost savings and efficiencies??? The “government plan” is based on the supposition that the government can drive down costs… just cannot find a single example of this ever happening the past.

It is a singulaly great moment when in the course of american demacracy a representative of the general populace of South Carolina can stand tall and call out a liar for what he is even though he is the president. While it may not have been in the best taste for the moment I have heard it said that the same thing happened on the Titanic. The boy who came in to the ballroom and shouted out to the courtiers was chastized and removed without anyone ever letting him explain that he was just trying to warn them that the ship had hit an iceburg…the rest is history. The country is going down like the Titanic and we are all just enjoying the party. I would not garner much hope that Joe Wilson will be going anywhere for he is a South Carolina congressman. This state is the reddest of the Union and the people have been betrayed by Obama. He will probably stay in office. Obama has lied and lied often. Obama would have us give up the republic burn the constitution and join Hitlers ranks. Mr. Jim Franks says the conservatives want to rule this country and make NAZI germany look like a safe haven. He is actually referring to the NEOCONs and many things they do would also be fascist, but no less so than what Obama offers us as an alternative. Socialized medicine, the first thing NAZIs did was try to get rid of it but they couldnt even though it was breaking Germany’s bank. The second thing they did is take away the guns of private citizens. Sound familiar ?? Democrats ??
I would also look for Ralph Norman to take Spratts place finally. Obama the liar must be called out for what he is !! Lied about the war and no new taxes and Gitmo. He has done nothing he promised.
