Does a millionaire need health insurance? Wouldn't they just pay for care as needed? How many wealthy folks are figured into the 47 or 33 or 20 Million folks we are talking about?

I suppose I should consider myself lucky to have private insurance in this day and age.
But let me tell you this because I don’t think you realize how bad they are.
There are errors and denials at least 50% of the time. Insofar as choosing your own doctor. I wish.
They hike the deductible to discourage any choice outside of their network. Often you select
an in network doctor only to find out that the facility or the anesthesiologist is out of network and
your stuck paying full price for that. My in network doctor refused an immunization shot for
my daughter - they only had enough for public aide patients. Guess they pay better.
I have nothing but disdain for this industry. They are the culprits of our failed system. They are
the death panels. You are accepting contributions from this industry which I feel amounts to bribery
and corruption. You are collecting government health care while denying it to others. People are dying as
a result of lack of insurance and denials and you should be appalled that this is going on. The majority
of your state supports a public option. Are you representing your state or the insurance companies?
A government system could succeed without raising taxes. I would gladly trade in my premiums and call
them taxes instead. It can be done. Other countries are doing it and getting better results than we are.
It’s because of people like you that we’re stuck with this miserable health care system.
As long as it works for you than it’s okay. Doesn’t matter that people are dying and losing their
homes as long as it works for you.

All of the comments about evil Joe Liberman being on the take from the insurance companies just crack me up. What about Nancy Pelosi's fundraiser - the $2,500.00 a plate fundraiser ($5,000.00 a plate for companies) that was held for her by, wait for it.......THE HEALTH INSURANCE LOBBYISTS back in September?? http://rawstory.com/blog/2009/09/lobbyist-fundraiser-pelosi/

Joe and his wife got rich selling us out to the insurance monopolies, much the same way Evan Bayh and his wife did. These bums need to go and we need new blood to vote in campaign finance reform to take the voice away from corporations. Corporations are supossed to be serving us, why the hell are we serving them? Shame on you JOE!

My work provided health ins premiums are going up again this fall. Gone up 42% since 2005. Not counting increases in deductibles and copays. There's no competition, only collusion.
The Ins Industry gets filthy rich while millions can't afford to play their life and death game. Joe, you've fallen so far into the deep pockets of the health insurance industry that you can't climb out.
Joe, history will judge you harshly on this one, siding with the ins ind. profit machine over the health of Americans. Disgraceful.
I'll be sending $$$ to help unseat you in 2012.

Hope you enjoy your gov admin health care coverage while denying the same for the rest of America.

Good job, Senator Lieberman.

47 million uninsured ... rubbish. I am one of the 47 million and I simply choose to self-insure. Stop presenting that fictitious number as the number of people who want, but cannot afford, insurance. You can be in the tank for the admin, but at least show a little intellectual honesty rather than simply parroting the Dem talking points.

Grow a pair, Bill - you come off sounding like a lapdog.

it is hard for me to only comment about mr lieberman, but,i wounder if those in conn. are as dissapointed in there vote as those in minn are in mrs. bachmann(or at least i hope) what a independant or a dependant on the status quo. dose he believe that he is a true representative of his state or the of the constituants of his state, and not special interests.it is not and can not be the whole truth. not that there are not people in conn. that are for some misinterperated idea of 1984 against a cheeper more pure public option for public health care/insurance, being against it only because of the gov run part of the whole thing, even if better and cheeper, but say it aint so joe at least give some form of a public option the chance of being heard and possibly being voted on so if u are right that it is not desiered nothing will change but at least give it a chance and than really listen and look around to see if the current way it is of a ludacris cost of health care isnt what we want and than mabe you can redeem your self, so dont just block to block, block for reason not special interest or conections. sorry for grammer errors i am not a grammer star.
