Thank you, Senator Reid
OK, I take back all those bad things I said about Harry Reid! He’s proven he’s not so wishy-washy, after all.
I still don’t understand why he gave so much time to Max Baucus and Kent Conrad and Chuck Grassley and Olympia Snowe. But, in the end, he took charge. He showed them who’s boss. And he did the right thing – announcing that the bill he sends to the Senate floor will definitely contain a public plan option.
Bully for Harry Reid!
Is it the perfect solution? No. Allowing states the opportunity to “opt out” of a public plan option is, in many ways, a cop-out. It means that those states which most need a public option, like Alabama, still won’t get one.
But most Americans still will have the choice of a public option. And a public plan with an “opt out” is a hell of a lot better than other proposals floated in the Senate – like the “opt in” of Ben Nelson, the “trigger” of Olympia Snowe, or the dreaded “co-ops” of Kent Conrad.
And, again, the credit goes to Harry Reid, more than to Barack Obama.
Yesterday, we were all saying: “Harry, where the hell are you?”
Today, we can say: “Good job, Harry. You came through, just when we needed you.”
That’s my parting shot for today.

Thank you, Senator Reid, for standing up for the majority of Americans who support a public option as an essential part of health care reform. People are hurting, people are dying for lack of affordable, accessible health care. Even those who have insurance often lose everything they have worked for when illness strikes. You have taken a major step in rectifying this amoral situation.
Thank You! Senator Reid.

Thanks be to U.S. Senate Majority LEADER Harry Reid. Here I and my family and friends at the University Of California was mourning the passing of the Lion of the left the good senator Teddy Kennedy, and just what comes along, but the great senator from Nevada, Harry Reid.
We now have a new LION OF THE LEFT!!. Than you Senator Reid for including the “PUBLIC OPTION” in the health reform bill. By the way, why not include a mandatory flood insurance requirement for all healthcare insurance companies, since they don’t want the government in the insurance business.
Now about “TRIGGERS”. trigger DIED SOMETIME BEFORE ROY RODGERS!! That was the last and only trigger. For a filabuster, “bring it on.!! I will help move the cots to the senate floor. Maybe Darth Vader will help out.
Looks like we will be campaigning in Nevada for the great Senator Harry Reid. He will get a ton of votes from the workers.

Thank you so much for your efforts in fighting for a humanitarian (real American)plan for health care in our country. How long do Senator Lieberman and his health care robber baron pals think they can fool us? They will feel the sting at election time.
