  2. Kate Eaton says:

It’s wrong for the RC church to pressure Patrick Kennedy and try to influence his votes in the House. It makes me worry about the five RCs on the Supreme Court.
It will be too bad if the voting public turns away from RCs seeking public office.

  3. Bill Brady says:

    Senate Health Care:

    1. Landrieu, Lincoln and Nelson are committed, period. They’ve sold their souls to the devil and the devil isn’t going to give them back. Their pontifications about “moving the bill forward to open debate” is absolute nonsense. They can’t back out. Reid owns them and thay can espouse their independence all they want but they have been bought and paid for.

    2. Debate doesn’t start til Nov. 30. The bill is already being re-written. What is the Senate going to debate? The original or some interim version or versions. In other words, the limited debate is worthless and as Reid put it “the greatest debating body in the world” will simply be going through the motions to impress somebody. Who, I have no idea. It’s all the center ring of a 3-ring circus.

    3. Obama want’s the final legislation on his desk by Christmas so that leaves the Senate debate and reconciliation with the House bill to all occur before Christmas? Therefore, while the Senate is re-writing the bill in the middle of their debate, reconciliation must be occurring to meet the deadline. These people won’t even know what they’re debating because it’s going to be changing day to day, hour to hour.

A giant leap into complete socialism is going to occur prior to Christmas and Democrats will own it lock, stock, and barrel. This travesty is totally against the will of the people, Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike and will express their disgust next November. Democrats up for re-election had best enjoy their remaining time in the sun.
