Bill….
I couldn’t agree with you more regarding the air traffic control situation where the kid was allowed to convey controls to incoming flights! What are are you guests thinking ? This is a huge deal ! There are certain places where children just should not be permitted and this is one of them! Not only is it irresponsible for a child to be talking with incoming flights, but having the child there at all amongst other adults trying to do their job is highly distracting. I work at a bank and abhor “take your child to work day” . When did this become an annual event? The security at our place is normally insanely high. I can’t even post a phone number in my cube. Yet on this day, kids are pounding on the keyboards, talking on the phones, rummaging through drawers, running , screaming and people are mulling around as if its Disneyland. This practice should be stopped. If you want your kid to know what you do for a living, heres an idea…sit down as a family for once at the dinner table and talk about it.

Bill…
I’d also like to add to my previous comment regarding the kid in the air traffic control tower….
I cannot fly anywhere with practically being stripped searched as I go through security . My 80 year grandmother risks being pulled out of line at any moment should she in her 80 year state of mind utter any word considered in any way “threatening” ( do you know how hard it is to keep an 80 year from ranting about something at the airport?!) Yet….security is apparently no big deal in the tower. Between the drunk pilots and this, my already less than warm fuzzy feelings about airline travel has plummetted even lower.
Thanks !
