20 Billion is like Bail money for BP.
The idea that this crime should wend it’s way through the court system is insane.
If I crash my car while driving drunk, I cannot re-incorporate myself to avoid liability. I can’t sell 1/2 of myself like Johns Manville did to avoid their asbestos liabilities. I can’t spend 20 years in court like Exxon did with the Valdez spill. Corp’s. including BP can do these things. That’s why it was necessary and cannot be compared to a human being incurring a liability.
Would Barton rather Obama had arrested the CEO of BP and held him in jail pending BP paying all the claims?
Hi Bill- why is it the GOPB gives BP and other oil companys millions who pay little or no taxes and won’t help the citizens with a jobs bill or unemployment benefits?
How much of the oil pumped out of the gulf would go to the U.S.?
