Yes, it’s half-time

Super Bowl 2012.

Amazing! It turned out to be the most-watched television show in human history. And, of course, it was not because of the game. It was because of Madonna’s spectacular half-time show – and because of the commercials.

One commercial, in particular, not only has everyone talking. It’s turned into a political firestorm.

Of course, I’m talking about the Clint Eastwood commercial for Chrysler: It’s half-time in football, and it’s half-time in America.

In very dramatic terms, Eastwood cites Detroit as the true story of America. The auto industry was down. But we didn’t give up. We fought back. And now we’re stronger than ever.

And Republicans are crying foul. Karl Rove says he was “appalled” by the commercial. Why? Because it’s true!

America’s auto industry was on the brink of collapse. But President Obama – continuing the course set by President Bush – stepped up to save GM and Chrysler. And today, America’s automakers are back, new factories are open, better cars are being produced, and autoworkers are back on the job.

It’s half-time, said Clint Eastwood. Half-time for the Super Bowl. And half-time for President Obama. And the auto bail-out alone proves – he deserves a second half.

That’s my parting shot for today.

I’ve seen the video – and its very patriotic.
Who would not want America to win the second half?!

Only someone who is anti-American would hate this video!

    Pat,
Lets not forget this is Bill Press. Like most liberals they just make things up and then pompously spew them… Then they will attack you personally and call you a “racist” or “bigot” if you call them to task.

I watched Clint Eastwoods message also & it was great!!we,as a nation ,we are moving forward even without the help of leading Republicans. I never forget there are some great republicans that don’t follow their leaders but do that which is right.I’m looking forward to the day when the tax breaks for the wealthy run out. There are many wealthy people that want the same as they love our country.Gramma Ellen
